Along the Alpe Adria Radweg Cycle Path, Cooperativa La Chiusa has restored and converted the old railway station into a refreshment stop for the increasing number of cyclists who use the cycle route..

It has provided work for local inhabitants, especially for young people, who would otherwise be forced to look for work down below on the plain. .
It is a seasonal business that lasts from March to October, with the highest number of customers in July and August, when amateur cyclists from all over Europe pass by here. .

The cuisine offers the dishes of Friuli and of the Canal del Ferro valley, especially traditional local products. Its cakes and tarts made with seasonal fruits are highly popular. .
The Station has several tastefully furnished rooms for a stay, when you can discover the mountains of the neighbouring area on trips, accompanied by experienced experts in botany, geology and local history. .

For these simple and virtuous offers, the Legambiente has awarded Chiusaforte Station a "Bandiera Verde 2019" (green flag) for sustainable mobility and for promoting local products and traditions. Cooperativa La Chiusa also owns a small publishing house that prints nature guides for trekking and cycling.
In addition, throughout the entire opening season, it organises conferences and book presentations with authors. In particular, with seminars and reading courses, it pays homage to the poet from Chiusaforte, Pierluigi Cappello, who happily used the station during his lifetime.
