Sapori Pro Loco: a journey of regional flavours with over 100 local dishes presented by 36 Pro Loco (local tourist offices) and 37 side events.
This food and wine event, now in its 17th edition, offers one of the best opportunities, along with Friuli Doc, to taste and try all the traditional dishes of Friuli, from the most classic such as frico, polenta and gnocchi, to the more elaborate and less well-known ones based on pitina, toro, sclopit, chestnuts and other typical ingredients of the various territories.
Typicality, taste and traditions: I think that the organisers could not have better summarised this celebration of Friulian taste!
The breathtaking setting of Villa Manin hosted the food and wine essence of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, distributed among the 36 stands of the Pro Loco tourist offices offer tastings of their best recipes.
Yes, because the beauty of Sapori Pro Loco is the possibility of tasting as many things as possible, to savour the excellence and diversity of each territory. And this is possible above all thanks to the really low prices.
At the Enoteca Regionale stand you can choose from the best wines by 32 wineries and all the Doc areas including the new Doc Friuli, selected during the Buttrio Regional Fair of Wines and the Friûl di Bertiolo wine fair.
For beer lovers, instead, the Regional Brewery organised by the Pro Loco Rivolto and the Associazione Artigiani Birrai of Friuli-Venezia Giulia arranged the products of 6 breweries for a total of 12 beers.
During the show, there are several events to visit before or after the tasting of the dishes: exhibitions, concerts, conferences but also workshops and cooking workshops for young and old.
