The
museum Palazzo Elti of
Gemona exhibits paintings and sculpture of different ages and of remarkable historical quality. It contains
15th and 16th century paintings by various Venetian and Friulian artists that originate from beyond the Alps.
The art of the following centuries is witnessed by works collected in Austria, among which there are three canvas paintings by
Kremserschmidt, and some interesting sketches attributed to Wolker, Erler and Spiegler, and a copy of an altar piece by Rubens.
The most recent artistic experiences are represented by 19th and 20th century artists from Gemona (Giacomo and Antonio Brollo, Raimondo D'Aronco, etc.).
