Description
More than a concert: a narrative and musical journey that pays tribute to one of Greece's greatest composers, Manos Hatzidakis, on the centenary of his birth.
A musical odyssey sung entirely in Greek, where each song is a stage, an encounter, a memory: from the sea to the dusty streets of villages, from nostalgia to love, from animals to stars, passing through the voices of childhood, old age and dreams. A poetic journey made up of words, sounds and images that evoke the Greece of the soul, the one we all feel is ours, even without ever having lived there.
The deep, vibrant voice of Aliki Pappas, a French-Greek singer, intertwines with the sounds of the Thalassa Ensemble, conducted by Davide Coppola, with Andrea Corazza (clarinet), Carolina Pérez Tedesco (piano), Camilla Collet (drums), Cristiano Devitor (guitar), Enrico Apostoli (double bass) and Riccardo Pitacco (oud).
A story that speaks to everyone: a journey of discovery and return, real and symbolic, inviting us to recognise how every step — every encounter — can transform us.
