The Bora and Trieste: exploring the city of the wind
Trieste is inseparably linked to the Bora, the wind that has always shaped its landscape and influenced daily life. With this urban trekking you will discover what the Bora really is, why it blows so strongly, and how it has left visible and invisible marks across the city: from buildings to streets, from trees to the stories of its people.
In a small group (max. 8 participants), the guide will lead you to the most significant places connected to the wind: Piazza Unità, Molo Audace with its sea sunsets, the Ponterosso Canal, the Old Town, Cavana, and the San Giusto area. Here, the Bora has written its history, turning Trieste into an open-air museum.
Along the way, you will learn how to recognize the “signs of the wind” even when it isn’t blowing: traces, curiosities, and anecdotes that tell the story of a unique natural phenomenon.
