There is a great event planned for the 2017 edition of Udin&Jazz, a jazz festival in various venues in the region: FIGHT FOR FREEDOM- Tribute to Muhammad Alì.

The stars of this special evening, to be held on 6 July at the castle of Udine are pianist and composer Remo Anzovino and the multifaceted musician Roy Paci. The two musicians will be accompanied by Vito Scavo on the trombone, John Lui on guitars and Mylious Johnson on drums and percussion, and will perform in a special concert with the screening of the docufilm Da Clay ad Alì, la metamorfosi by Emanuela Audisio. The docufilm combines the testimonies of those who knew 'the greatest', of those who photographed him and also his to wives and other figures from the world of sport and beyond.

This is an exclusive event as this show will be the first performance in Italy of these compositions written for the soundtrack of the film. Anzovino, a Friulian, is a composer, pianist and lawyer, as well as the creator of numerous soundtracks for documentaries, TV commercials and silent movie films. He has worked for television broadcasts and with singers, but also with other musicians, which has led him to perform in the most prestigious Italian music venues such as the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome and the Arena di Verona.

Roy Paci, a Sicilian, is a trumpeter, composer, arranger, singer and has lent many of his songs to the seventh art. During his career, he has continued to pursue a musical philosophy based on cross-fertilisation and freedom.

The evening is organised by Euritmica in collaboration with the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, the municipalities of Udine, Cervignano del Friuli and Tricesimo, the Conservatorio Jacopo Tomadini of Udine, Fondazione FRIULI and PromoTurismo FVG.
