The
Archaelogical Museum Friuli occidentale documents, through a rich exhibition of reconstructions, settings, illustrative panels and videos, the numerous and important
archaeological sites in the western Pordenone area, from the pre-historical times (40,000 years ago) to the Renaissance, the most ancient pre-historical places, the Neolythic and Copper Age sites the fortified buildings of the Iron Age, the valuable hand-manufactured goods of the Roman
Villa di Torre, the necropolis dated late Roman and high Middle Ages, the 15th century ceramics.
In the museum are also stored, in a dedicated space, the archaeological remains found at the
pile-dwelling site of Palù di Livenza, UNESCO world heritage site since 2011.
The tour ends with an area dedicated to the castle, seat of the museum and to the figure of count Giuseppe di Ragogna, last owner of the manor.
