Chiopris Viscone

The toponym of Chiopris dates back to 1230 and the first settlement was surely in the Lombard age; the parish church, in fact, is dedicated to St. Michael the Archangel, a saint loved by this population of warriors.

Near Chiopris-Viscone you will find the sanctuary of Santa Maria di Strada, probably built before the thirteenth century, which features the highest bell gable of Friuli's country churches.

The area provides pleasant entertainment opportunities for those who love life in the open air; the woody area that surrounds the Corno stream and the Judrio river is ideal for horse riding.
