Villa Anna

Behind the "Sasso Bucato" a soldiers barracks was built identified with the initials M.G.A. H.g.K. 8. Many soldiers used to give their quarters names, often referring to their girlfriends or mothers thus making the war experience they were forced into, more "human". This is why the barracks was also known with the name of “Villa Anna”.

The construction, completely in wood, gives the idea of how the soldiers lived on the Alpine front line and what their needs were. The dimensions were quite small and the materials used, often obtained from the surrounding woods, had to be resistant to the weight of the snow that accumulated in winter. At the same time, it had to be well isolated so the heat from the stoves was not lost.

Inside you can see a bunk bed on the right while on the left there is a small table illuminated only by the window. It is also possible to leave a comment on the signature book.
