Two days dedicated to the “Tuber magnatum Pico”, which will turn the centre of Muzzana del Turgnano (in the province of Udine) into the capital of Friuli Venezia Giulia’s white truffle. Collected in the Baredi wood – 160 hectares, property of the Municipality – this precious tuber is certified according to the Pecf protocol, the most important certification for sustainable forest management. This year in its tenth year, the festival is organized by the “Associazione Muzzana Amatori Tartufi”. There will be dinners, lunches and tasting sessions with a gourmet menu based on truffle. But also conferences, meetings, markets and a special auction: the tubers collected in part of what remains of the “Lupanica” forest in the Bassa Friulana area, in fact, are destined partly to the preparation of the dishes of Trifule in fieste and partly to a charity auction.
