Three great masters of contemporary photography – Steve McCurry, Alex Majoli and Meta Krese – explore the border between Italy and Slovenia, recounting the cities of Gorizia and Nova Gorica through three unpublished photographic reports.
Their works will be featured in an exceptional exhibition at Casa Morassi (Borgo Castello, Gorizia) as part of the celebrations for the European Capital of Culture: for the first time, a title shared by two border cities. Hailing from the United States, Italy and Slovenia respectively, McCurry, Majoli and Krese will offer three unique and personal perspectives on the borderlands, using photography to explore the relationships between peoples, historical and individual memory, cultural identities, differences and bonds, ultimately outlining a possible vision of the future based on peace, dialogue and brotherhood.
The exhibition will be open to visitors until January 18, 2026.
