Exhibition "Views from the Trees"

Description

For over twenty-five years, trees have been a constant presence in my painting. They are landscape, memory, and silence, but also entities capable of looking at us and revealing something about ourselves. It all began in 2001, when a walnut tree in front of my studio “looked at” me. Since then, I have come to recognize different kinds of gazes in trees: direct, shy, or hidden within the bark.
*Gaze of the Trees* brings together works created at different times, united by an invisible thread: the gaze as a silent dialogue between us and nature. An invitation to pause, observe, and allow oneself to be observed by the artist Dunja Nedeljkovic.
