Description
The enchanting city of Trieste will host the third edition of the International Road Race U23 10k, a sporting event of the highest level and the only one of its kind in Italy.
The International Road Race U23 10k represents an event of international importance.
The event, which is included in the World Athletics calendar, has in fact obtained the prestigious “Label Road Race” recognition from the International Federation, placing it among the most important events in the world and attracting elite athletes from all over the world, with the participation of national Under 23 representatives from various European nations. The invitation to participate was extended to all international federations.
The participation of Denmark, France, England, Czech Republic, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Switzerland, Turkey and Italy has been confirmed, but many other European nations are expected to take part.
Each team will consist of the four best male and four best female athletes from each nation.
The 10 km route, starting from the Miramare Castle, will lead the runners to the majestic Piazza Unità, through the picturesque alleys of the old town and culminating in the San Giusto Castle.

Event Programme
Saturday, 17 October:
11:30 a.m. – Opening ceremony in Piazza Unità d'Italia, with greetings from the authorities and presentation of the national teams.
Sunday, 18 October:
9:50 a.m. – Start of the 4th edition of the International Road Race U23 from Miramare Castle.
11:30 a.m. – Awards ceremony in Piazza Unità d'Italia.
The following will be awarded: the top 3 women U23, the top 3 men U23 and the top 3 countries.
