Start from the mountain hut in the Malga Kuhinja area and continue bypassing the village of Krn and passing the Hermit's cave to climb to the Pretovč mountain hut and reach a cave where a well-preserved altar dedicated to the Madonna by Hungarian soldiers is located. Then continue along the circuit crossing the open-air museum of Mrzli vrh to arrive at the church of Javorca, decorated with the European Heritage Label, near which are three Italian bunkers from the time of the Treaty of Rapallo. From Polog, continue towards the Tolmin gorges, a jewel of the national park, and the Austro-Hungarian cemetery of Loče. The stage ends reaching the village of Tolmin.
