Snowshoeing from Pierabech to Casera Bordaglia di Sotto

Snowshoe tours in Friuli Venezia Giulia

Where: Forni Avoltri (Carnia, Udine)

In Forni Avoltri there is a route among snow-covered mountains to be followed with snowshoes to discover enchanting nature and breathtaking landscapes

You may start the interesting snowshoe route that leads to Casera Bordaglia di Sotto from the hamlet of Pierabech. Here, in Piano della Guerra (near the Goccia di Carnia water plant). You will have to continue, therefore, taking on the right the CAI 141 path, specially marked by signs. Subsequently, the forest road coast the River Degano then go up on the left towards the Rio Bordaglia valley (about 200 meters further on).
Along gentle hairpin bends you will reach a height of 1425 metres where, after leaving on your right the road that leads to Casera Ombladet, an uphill route will take you to your destination (still a 30-minute walk). Here, in Casera Bordaglia di Sotto, you will enjoy a beautiful panoramic view!
