Spectacular landscapes

The Nature Reserve Forra del Cellina is an area of 300 hectares distributes between the municipalities of Andreis, Barcis and Montereale Valcellina.

The importance to the reserve is attached mainly by the geo-morphological aspects; in fact, it is a real forra dug in the chalky sediments, with the steady presence of water, waterfalls and striking forms of erosion. In appearance it is a big canyon, the largest of the region and, with no doubt one of the most spectacular in Italy. In the reserve you could observe also particular botanic rare species that live here thanks to the particular micro-climatic conditions.

Going along the Dint path (near the Visitors’ centre), it is possible to admire a spectacular sights of the forra.
