Savogna is situated in the valley of the Alberone stream, in a mountainous area rich in cavities and caves. The predominantly mountainous terrain offers many opportunities for hiking and walking, such as along the gorge of the Rieca stream in Cepletischis, in the Polaga Valley, or on the slopes of Mount Matajur, which dominates the entire valley.
The many votive chapels integrated into the buildings of the small villages of Brizza, Pechinie, Tercimonte, or Masseris are of great interest, where numerous examples of rural architecture can still be found, some of which are decorated with frescoes by the itinerant painter Jàcum Pitor.
In Masseris, you will find the Matajur Museums, where valuable examples of objects and costumes from local traditions and the lives of those who worked and mowed the meadows of these mountains are on display.
