Do Ville is a name that dates back to the golden age of Aquileia, when the region was one of the most important strategic areas of the Roman Empire. Indeed, between Ronchi dei Legionari and Terzo di Aquileia there was a series of Praedia, ie fertile agricultural villas inhabited and governed by freedmen; these people were esteemed by the Roman patricians for their shrewd administration and the excellent quality of the wine they produced.
Historical traces of two of these villas have been found near San Polo and Vermegliano: the vineyards grow right in this area and the name ‘Do Ville’ reinforces their colours. With the aim of underlining the declared and lasting bond with the roots of tradition that makes Friulian wines noble, the name of the winery legitimately boasts knowledge and respect for the purest art of wine-making.
Visiting the winery is an informal and convivial experience: you will be told about the business starting from the vineyard and ending in the cellar, with the chance to taste the fruits that nature offers in season. Three types of tastings are available.
