A route that takes you from Udine to Grado and its lagoon. A path that unfolds on cycle paths, dirt and secondary roads, through villages, fields, ditches and canals.
One recommendation is to visit the wonderful Venetian villas dating back to the 17th-19th centuries and Palmanova and Aquileia, UNESCO World Heritage cities.
Derived from the technical difficulty and the stamina requirements.
Pay more attention on dirt roads, especially in harsher weather conditions.
Route also suitable for less experienced cyclists, families and groups.
The route starts in Udine. From there, you pedal southeast towards Baldasseria and continue through Pradamano and Pavia di Udine. From Pavia di Udine, the route extends towards Lauzacco, passing through Persereano and San Stefano Udinese. It continues towards Tissano, reaching Palmanova.
From Palmanova, you head towards Strassoldo and then towards Cervignano. Following the cycle path on the old railway, you arrive at Aquileia, then cross the lagoon cycling towards Grado.
