The fortified town of San Vito al Tagliamento is the starting and finishing point of this itinerary, which passes through Cordovado, one of the “Borghi più belli d’Italia” (most beautiful villages of Italy) with its walled medieval centre, and Sesto al Reghena with its Longobard Abbey of the same name, a religious, artistic and cultural landmark of the entire area, as well as many other small towns of the lower Pordenone valley, surrounded by a thousand rivulets and streams of water springing from the land and crossing a landscape of fields, meadows and country farmsteads.
Author’s recommendation
In Morsano del Tagliamento, also known as Morsano delle oche perhaps because goose breeding was widespread in the area, the Goose Festival is held in summer.
