Starting at the Tarvisio Boscoverde Station, this charming bike route leads to enchanting Fusine, culminating in a final climb that reveals the magnificent Fusine Lakes. The bike path, traced over an old railway from Tarvisio to Jesenice, offers a gradual ascent through the picturesque Fusine plain on the border between Italy and Slovenia. The entire route is paved, with a section on a bike path as far as Scichizza; from there, the ride to the Lower Lake can be on dirt roads along the bike path. The section between Scichizza and the lakes may have moderate vehicular traffic, especially during summer and weekends. It is recommended to avoid it in the winter months because of snow.
