The bicycle touring route winds through the plains between Ospedaletto di Gemona, Osoppo and the hills of Buja, along low-traffic secondary roads.
We depart from Artegna to reach along the ancient Roman road the medieval town of Gemona del Friuli. On the way, you skirt Osoppo, with its fort overlooking the Tagliamento River. The hill can be reached by bicycle with a challenging climb. Leaving the town you enter a magical place of the Bars springs, a protected nature area characterized by crystal-clear water and a rich orchid bloom in spring. Proceed in the direction of Buja through its rich villages characterized by water channels such as the Ledra, on whose banks are ancient mills and wash houses. Leaving Buja we continue in the direction of Artegna, along the plain.
