Itinerary
The itinerary is a loop crossing the vineyard hills, the plain north of Udine, San Daniele del Friuli, and the woods of the Val d'Arzino. It winds into the inter-municipal park of the Carnic hills surrounded by the Carnic Alps. You return toward the plain after crossing numerous villages including Poffabro (One of the most beautiful villages in Italy) and Maniago. The final stage will be a pleasant discovery of the Risorgive landscape rich in Venetian villas and fortresses such as Palmanova and Gradisca d'Isonzo.
Food&Wine
A journey through the mountain gastronomic specialties of Carnia, the foothill valleys of Pordenone, and the Friulian plain. It starts with the renowned raw ham of San Daniele followed by Cjarsons and Frico, interspersed with snacks based on Pitina (a smoked meatball typical of the Tramonti area) and Asìno cheese accompanied by wines from Collio, Colli Orientali, Isonzo, and Friuli-Grave. RECOMMENDED DISH: Frico (a dish made of cheese and potatoes).

Malina ford in Cerneglons (Remanzacco). If closed, follow the road to Orzano and cross the Malina in Battiferro.
Be careful on the Madrisio bridge (Tagliamento river) south of San Vito al Tagliamento and on the San Gottardo bridge (Torre river) near Udine.
