A more than cross-border itinerary, discovering as many as three states: Italy, Slovenia and Austria. In fact, the Italian, Slovenian and Austrian borders in this area connect at a single point on the summit of Mount Forno/Dreilandecke/Pec, just above Fusine in Valromana, a village that the ride touches. You start from the Tarvisio Boscoverde Station, and pedal in the direction of Fusine, a hamlet known for its wonderful lakes with varied facets (depending on the seasonal color of the vegetation), until you reach Slovenia at Rateče (not far away you can reach Kranjska Gora). Riding one's bicycle, one continues to Austria and, past the Wurzen Pass, reaches Krainberg, and then returns to Italy via Arnoldstein, which is a town not far from the border. The route is a loop with considerable naturalistic beauty. The ride ends in Tarvisio amid mountain vistas.
