Sacile is a city full of colours and reflections, crossed by the Livenza river, it is also known as the Garden of the Serenissima; visitors can tour the city with its towers, churches, and the Ragazzoni Palace by bicycle or by boat to discover glimpses of Sacile that would otherwise not be seen. From the centre of Sacile, follow the bicycle paths to exit the city toward San Giovanni del Tempio. Cross Regional Road SR 13 and continue on traffic-free parallel secondary roads toward Fontanafredda. Continuing along minor roads and bike paths, you reach the suburbs of Porcia. After a few kilometres, riding along several bicycle paths, and then on the pedestrian Corso Garibaldi road, you finally reach the centre of Pordenone. We recommend cycling at a walking pace along the scenic Corso Vittorio Emanuele II road, to better admire the frescoed buildings and stop at cafes or taverns for tasty food and drink. The cathedral, city museums, and Rose Park are definitely worth a visit.
The return trip is initially made on the same road as the outward journey to Rorai Piccolo. Here the route detours to the medieval village of Porcia, passing by the mighty castle and the public park of Villa Correr-Dolfin. It then continues to Palse and finally, we cycle along a nice, little-travelled route through the countryside on our way back to Sacile.
Pedal slowly along the Corso Vittorio Emanuele to admire the frescoed palaces.
The route is suitable for families with children aged 10 and up.
