Route
The Collio Brda Classic is an Italian-Slovenian cross-border bicycle race, part of the Giro d'Italia d'Epoca circuit, dedicated exclusively to cyclists with vintage bikes and uniforms. It takes place in September in the lands of the Italian and Slovenian Collio (Brda), home of the well-known white wines. Several stops can be made along the way among villages, castles and villas. Arriving in Cormons, it is well worth a visit.
Food & wine
Borderland famous for Collio's yellow gold: white grapes from which the renowned Collio DOC wines are made. Those who ride in this area will be able to taste Collio Bianco, Ribolla Gialla from Oslavia, Malvasia and Friulano among the varied wine offerings. This area offers a cuisine that stems from the union of different gastornomic cultures: Italian, Slovenian and Austrian. Taste the cheeses and cold cuts of the area. RECOMMENDED DISH: Risotto with Rosa di Gorizia (highly prized PGI red radicchio).
Cormons is connected to Gorizia and Udine by regional trains where bicycles can be transported.

Regional trains (Trenitalia) can transport bicycles along the Trieste - Udine - Venice route.
In summer there is a BiciBus service, buses with an enclosed trolley for 40 bicycles in tow: - from Cormons to Grado with stops in Gorizia, Gradisca d'Isonzo, Redipuglia and Monfalcone
From Udine or from Gorizia - SR56. In Cormons, follow signs to train station.
Near the Cormons train station. There is a large free parking lot on Alcide de Gasperi Street.
