Aquileia, a treasure chest of art and history

Whether you're driving or cycling by, a stop in Aquileia is a must. Situated about 40 kilometres south of Udine, towards the Laguna of Grado it can be reached by car or the Alpe Adria cycle path that connects Salzburg to Grado through a series of cycle paths that link the most beautiful places in Austria and Friuli Venezia Giulia. The stage through Aquileia starts from Udine and leads to Grado through countryside, vineyards, canals, Roman relics and the lagoon landscape.
