Within a ridge of Mt. Capolago, following an observation post inside the trench, you can see the entrance of a mountain gun position. It is a 12m long and 2m wide tunnel partly running along the northern slope and then turning to north-east, ending with a large opening facing the Volaia Lake and its eastern shore.
Inside, the Italians installed a small mountain gun, while a recess at the entrance of the tunnel, on the left, was probably used as an ammo reserve.
