Cross on the summit

Leaving behind the Kopfach Shelter, you can reach the summit at 1889 metres ASL in a few minutes. Although it is not a particularly high peak, its isolated location offers great views over the surrounding areas as well as the opportunity to observe the movements and the positions of both armies during the Great War.

To the north, you can see the fortified peaks of Mt. Jôf di Miezegnot, Mt. Piper and Mt. Due Pizzi, while the spectacular Dogna Valley stretches to the west. To the south, the view is taken by Mt. Jôf di Montasio and, below, the Carnizza Valley. Finally, to the east you can clearly see the Saisera Valley, which used to be a border area, and the mountains surrounding Tarvisio, such as Mt. Lussari with its sanctuary.
