Archeological Medieval Museum of
Attimis is the first Regional museum
dedicated to the different aspects of life in a Medieval castle in the area at the foot of the mountains in Eastern Friuli.
The Archaeological Medieval museum presents ceramic, glass, metal, organic material relics, sections dedicated to hunting, fishing, agriculture, breeding, a rare collection of weapons and defensive armours and the most
ancient wooden Madonna in Friuli (mid 13th century).
The history of the fortifications and their architectural and technological evolution is very interesting. In an equipped area, it is possible to carry out
didactic activities, like coining money, learning the techniques to make ceramic objects, etc.
