Cauma Urban Spa

CAUMA, the Latin etymology of the Italian word "calm", is the heat of summer, the "controra", when everything is at rest and the only energy expressed is the scorching sky.

The idea inspiring CAUMA Urban Spa is precisely this: one step away from the heart of the city of Udine, a few minutes from everyday life, CAUMA Urban Spa is an interlude of calm, a pause of silence where the body, the thought, the spirit are quiet. 

A quiet to be grasped at any time of the day.

Developed over an area of ​​about 1000 square meters, the wellness center is divided into paths inspired by the vital energy of Fire, the movement of Water and Relaxation. It is equipped with Finnish sauna, bio sauna, infrared sauna, Turkish bath, Himalayan tepidarium, large swimming pool whirlpool and la via dell'Acqua, the water path. In the heart of the center there is the Private Spa, an area reserved for up to two people with all the attractions in an exclusive version.

The urban vocation of CAUMA, the dialogue and proximity with the city context materialize in a refined architectural project, characterized by dark colors and bright details, by industrial materials and volumes and some natural elements standing out. The structure is embraced by a large green area overlooking the mountains, but protected and reserved thanks to a natural curtain of plants.

A natural context of great environmental and tourist value.
The Roiello canal runs through the area around the structure, an important element of the naturalistic heritage of Friuli Venezia Giulia, protected and bound for its recognized historical value, and a few meters away passes the Alpe Adria cycle path, a route that connects Salzburg to Grado, attracting enthusiasts of cycle tourism from all over Europe.

The Spa is located next to the POLIMEDICA health facility and is a part of a project dedicated to health that over the years has materialized in the Pradamano area. The goal is to build an integrated health-wellness center with an offer of medical wellness  based on a global idea of ​​well-being, both physical and mental, in a space of care and prevention.
