The territory museum of
San Daniele is located in the 17th century convent of the old hospital, it exhibits
archaeological relics, gold jewellery, antique coins, glassware, ceramics, earthenware, paintings. The exhibition is articulated into three sections:
archaeology, sacred art and ethnography.
The first section, presents findings from excavations carried out on the territory, which bear witness to the evolution of life in this area from 11th century B.C. to the Medieval period. The sacred art section includes, among other exhibits, two
wooden altar pieces coming from local churches; the section dedicated to paintings is also very rich, with remains of 14th and 15th centuries.
The section on ethnography completes the exhibition with relics regarding arts and trades of the Friulian civilization.
