The
Archaeological Museum of the Lagoon in Marano Lagunare displays, in the Civic Centre building, the important
archaeological heritage of the Lagoon, providing a very interesting historical survey.
This precious museum preserves over five hundred handmade items found in various locations of the
lagoons of Marano and Grado and on the coastal strip at the back.
The visit to the museum will give you the possibility to go through the most significant stages of the lagoon
settlements (from the Neolithic and Bronze ages to the Roman age, up to the Middle Ages and to the Renaissance) and to compare the various
landscape changes in the surrounding territory over the centuries.
Moreover, at the Archaeological Museum of the Lagoon in Marano Lagunare you will have the chance to admire several finds linked to
everyday life in the past: from tableware and kitchenware to oil lamps, from glassware to common bronze objects and coins.
