Mill of Borgo Ampiano

The mill of Borgo Ampiano dates back to the 15th century.

On the ground floor is a small carpentry smithy, which was the actual workshop for Mill repairs; the central hall, fulcrum of the whole building with its millstone and roller mills, produced in Hungary; the room with its barley stack which was discovered thanks to the renovating work carried out on the Mill.

On the first floor is the central hall, which used to hold the different machinery used for working cereals and the turret, which characterises the external appearance of the building and which contains a series of sieves used to separate the flour from the grain.
The building has ample spaces that can be used for outdoor activities.

The Mill of Borgo Ampiano is part of the Lis Aganis EcoMuseum.
