History and territory
Ravascletto is one of the most frequented summer and winter tourist destination of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, surrounded by magnificent mountain peaks, as Crostis and Zoncolan.
The village boats the nomination as “Borgo Autentico d’Italia” (authentic village of Italy), thanks to its rural and rustic architecture, typical of this area.
It is a perfect starting point to live a vacation in touch with nature, rediscovering the genuine tastes and folk traditions of the mountain area. The right occasion to taste the typical dishes is the “Fiesta tas Corts – Savors di una volta”, that takes place in summer period.
Activities
Both in winter and in summer period Ravascletto is connects to the Mount Zoncolan by the Gondola lift, reaching in few minutes 1740 mt of altitude. The Zoncolan area in winter offers 30Km of different slopes and in summer becomes an outdoor Bike park, in a 360° scenery in front of the Carnic Alps and Friulian Dolomites.
Various are also the hiking tours to do, reaching high peaks and alpine Farmhouses, where it is possible to attend to the daily processing milk.
Tip: from Ravascletto by bike to the Panoramica delle Vette, a panoramic road of 35km at 2000mt of altitude under the Mount Crostis. It is the highest road open to the vehicles of the Region that connects Ravascletto to Tualis of Comegliàns, along green meadows and magnificent ridges. The road is open to the vehicles but it is always better to be informed about the availably before get it (Tourist office of Ravascletto +39 0433 66477).
