Prato Carnico

Situated in the Carnia mountain region, Prato Carnico is considered the capital of the Pesarina Valley.

The best-known town is Pesariis, famous for its clock production: you will have the chance to admire beautiful clocks all over the town, famous for its clockmakers since the 17th century. Visit the "Museum of Clock-making" which displays wall and tower clocks and several mechanisms and apparatuses used by the craftsmen of the valley, but also the "Small Museum of the Carnic House" at Casa Bruseschi.

With a short hike from Truia you will reach the Stavoli Orias, a characteristic building of Carnia.

On the other hand, from Pradibosco it is possible to reach high-altitude Alpine huts.
