Moimacco
An old document of 1192 testifies the belonging of the estate of Moymas, today's Moimacco, to the chapter of the Church of Cividale.
The fourteenth-century St. John the Baptist Church, in a green area in the old part of the town, is worth a visit.
Villa de Puppi, built in the first half of the eighteenth century according to Palladio's rules with four Ionic columns in the façade that support the tympanum containing the coat of arms, is among the high conifers of a wonderful park.
The prestigious Villa de Claricini Dornpacher, a typical Venetian villa of the end of the 17th century, is opened to the public on request. It comprises the large manor house, the courtyard of honour and the courtyard on the right side, overlooked by the barchesse (outhouses).
The visit to the interior includes, besides the large painting collection, the ancient furniture, drawings, prints, books, textiles and embroideries. We would also like to mention the beautiful Italian-style garden, with guestrooms and lemon-house, and the wooded park with trees dating back to the late eighteenth century.
