The cannon post of Geschütz Kaverne is at the highest point of the whole Theme Park and was dug directly inside the Piccolo Nabois. Two Skoda M15 mountain cannons were positioned inside and were the best model supplied to the Austro-Hungarian troops.
Although they were positioned only a few metres apart, these two weapons were installed differently. The first cannon was mounted without wheels on a gun carriage and its shooting range was increased through a particularly narrow opening reinforced with concrete. The second was equipped with wheels and was located at the top of the cave. It fired through an opening which was much wider compared to the other one and was probably protected by a metal shield.
Before going back down, it is worth stopping to observe the beautiful view of the final part of the Val Dogna offered by this position.
