Slizza gorge

In Tarvisio, between the old abandoned central station and the new station of Tarvisio Boscoverde, there is a deep gorge, where the Slizza creek flows from Sella Nevea, down towards Austria. The gorge is crossed by an old picturesque railway bridge, now used as a cycling path connecting Italy to Slovenia. It is a very interesting and varied walk, suitable for everyone as long as you have a good pair of shoes and are used to walking on steep mountain paths.
