Description
To celebrate together the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Muggia section of the C.A.I. (Italian Alpine Club), the association has devised
a series of initiatives that take up the most significant features of these 40 years and also cast a glance into the future with new projects.
Since 1985, the association has not only been a point of reference for its members, but also for all mountain enthusiasts and has been supported by its fellow citizens.
The programme of initiatives:
From Friday 9th to Friday 23rd May 2025
Photographic exhibition "1985-2025: for 40 years the mountain unites us and friendship guides us"
Showroom - Pro Loco (Via Verdi, 6 - Muggia)

Concert by the author's choir "Vôs de Mont" from Tricesimo (UD)

Muggia Cathedral
Sunday 25th May
Relay race 40 x 1 km
Symbolic relay race that will walk along paths and roads on the Muggia Peninsula.
Followed by an
official celebration ceremony at the Subsection headquarters at 6 p.m.
Sunday 15th June
Mountain Festival at the Pian dei Ciclamini Shelter (Val Torre - Loc. Plan dei Ciclamini - Lusevera)
with the participation of the Band of the Ongia Company
Sunday 22nd June
C.A.I. Italian Path Day organised by the C.A.I.-GR FVG
Commemoration and walk organised by the Muggia Subsection of the C.A.I.-S.A.G.

Teatro danza Sara Bonfanti
The first woman to have walked the Sentiero Italia solo, dedicates a contemporary dance performance to this experience at the Archaeological Park of Muggia Vecchia.

Evening-debate and video projection with the presence of some walkers from past years at the Teatro Comunale G. Verdi in Muggia

Last stage - Celebratory walk from Bagnoli della Rosandra to Lazzaretto
Friday 31st October at 8.00 p.m.
Mass in memory of the fallen of the mountains in the Church of San Francesco in Muggia
