Special opening of the Casa Spina area

Description

The gates of Casa Spina will open again on Friday 17 January and every third Friday of the next months.

This fascinating area, usually closed to the public, was once the heart of the fish-farming practice. The building currently used as a visitor centre was once the home of the fishfarmer.

In this unique setting, it is possible to admire a small strip of natural beach and a hygrophilous forest, visit the museum inside the visitor centre and enjoy birdwatching from the screens that protect the fish-farm, now visited by numerous bird species.

Please note that:

• The staff of the Rogos Cooperative will be on hand to welcome you and provide you with all the information you need to carry out your visit with the utmost respect for nature.
• Let us respect this natural treasure together: please follow the staff's instructions scrupulously and behave with care to preserve this special place.
• The area can only be accessed on foot or by bicycle. Cars can be parked in the clearing at the end of the white road BEFORE the first gate (45°42'17.8 ‘N 13°28'56.3 ’E)
