Special event for the 50th anniversary of the Santa Barbara Philharmonic

The Filarmonica di Santa Barbara is a band founded in 1975 and currently conducted by Maestra Irina Perosa and Mr. Matteo Firmi.

To mark its 50th anniversary, the Santa Barbara Philharmonic Orchestra is organising an event never before seen in Muggia, which will be held on Saturday 20 September 2025 from 5pm to 10pm at the Ricreatorio Parrocchiale "F. Penso" - La Cattolica.

Event programme

5 p.m. - Opening of the event area to the public, exhibition of band instruments and their use, "Nati per la Musica" will entertain families with children aged 3 to 6 in the area dedicated to them;
6 p.m. - The Santa Barbara Philharmonic Music School will present its programme of music courses for the coming autumn/winter. Band members freewheeling.
6.30 pm - Introduction to the event by the President of APS - Santa Barbara Philharmonic, Alessandro Srelz;
7 p.m. - Concert by the Pihalni orkester Band - Ricmanje Wind Orchestra;
8:00 p.m. - Concert by the Big Band Theory;
10:00 p.m. - Best wishes for the 50th anniversary of the APS - Santa Barbara Philharmonic from the twin bands of Brihuega (Spain) and Messei (France). Cake cutting.
