ShorTS International Film Festival – Competition Entries

Description

Entries are now open for the competitions at the 28th edition of the ShorTS International Film Festival, which will take place in Trieste from 26th June to 3rd July 2027.

Organised by the “Associazione Maremetraggio” and under the artistic direction of Maurizio di Rienzo, the ShorTS IFF has been a leading event in the short film genre at an international level for over twenty years. With each edition, the festival aims to introduce the world of short films to a wide and diverse audience, with a particular focus on the varied young audience and a programme featuring specific sections aimed at children aged 6 to 14. Furthermore, throughout its programme, the festival highlights the achievements of certain leading figures in feature-length cinema through its established individual awards: Cinema del Presente, Interprete del Presente and Prospettiva.

The festival will feature seven competitive sections: the Maremetraggio section, the ShorTS Express section, the Italia in ShorTS section, the ShorTS Horror Picture Show section, the Shorter Kids'n'Teens section, the ShorTS Immersive section and the new ItaliAnimazione section.

Entries for the competitions close on Sunday 14th February 2027.
