Photo exhibition "The Hound" by Ian Willms

Description

The Hound by Ian Willms—an exhibition selected by Matt Black in 2025 for a 2026 showcase—is a visual and narrative journey along the roads of America, following the trail of the iconic Greyhound, the intercity bus that has traversed the continent—and its many contradictions—for over a century. Through photography with a profound human impact, Willms constructs a mosaic of stories: travelers in search of work, redemption, love, or simply a place to start anew. In his images, the neon lights of bus stations blend with the shadows of the night, in a constant interplay between dream and reality, hope and disillusionment. Musical installation: The exhibition in the Nathan Hall will be enhanced by an original composition by Matteo Zambon, the result of the "Photography in Symphony" (Fotografia in Sinfonia) music contest, organized in collaboration with the Tartini Conservatory specifically for the Trieste Photo Days exhibitions.
Opening hours: October 23–25: 10:00–19:00. October 26–November 8: Thursday–Sunday, 10:00–17:00. Free admission.
