Open wineyards 2026: May 9th -10th

Description

The wineries of Friuli Venezia Giulia are ready to welcome you with a new initiative: Vigneti Aperti (Open Vineyards), an event during which meetings and convivial moments will be privileged, always in the name of safety, in the beautiful vineyards - and not only - of ours. An opportunity for all to get to know and appreciate our food and wine excellences.
Several weekends of outdoor experiences including visits to the vineyards and / or cellar, aperitifs in the vineyard, sensory workshops, picnics, visits and guided tours in the vineyards, dinners with the winemaker, concerts and much more.

Participating wineries – May9th -10th

PROVINCE OF PORDENONE

Bulfon – Valeriano (PN)
Saturday, May 9

We will guide wine tourists through the vineyards in Pinzano al Tagliamento (PN) for a nature experience along the Tagliamento River.

Our terraced vineyard in Pinzano, cultivated with native grape varieties dating back to the ancient feudal and castle era, is located on the Pecol hill, facing south toward the plain. From here, you can see the white riverbed of the Tagliamento, shaped by stones and pebbles polished by green waters flowing from the mountains, spreading out like a fan into the plain with its characteristic “braided channels” flowing toward the sea.

The floodplain meadows are rich in biodiversity, with plant and animal species protected across 22% of the municipality within the Special Conservation Area (Natura 2000). We often encounter them while working in our vineyards.

These include beneficial animals like bees, gentle roe deer, noisy wild boars, tireless badgers, shy hares, mysterious foxes, nocturnal birds of prey, methodical woodpeckers, annoying hornets, useful ladybugs, tiny leafhoppers, and pioneer plants such as mugwort, poisonous hellebores, thorny milk thistle, and rare wild orchids.

Meeting point: 10:00 AM at the area below the vineyard in Pinzano, locality “La Santissima,” near the cemetery church square.
Activities: Guided vineyard and winery tour, tasting of native wines with local food pairings.
Duration: 2 hours
Price: €25 per person
Booking required by: Friday, May 8, 2026 – Tel: 353 3057925
