Production: Scune Ensemble
Music educators, performers and creators of the Scune Ensemble project, Paola and Manuela, together with six outstanding musicians, have formed an ensemble united by a shared passion for music and a commitment to making it accessible to everyone. Inspired by Edwin E. Gordon’s Music Learning Theory and by the concert format developed by Andrea Apostoli, President of AIGAM, they bring together diverse yet harmoniously complementary artistic personalities to create concerts for families, children aged 0 to 6, young people, adults, expectant mothers and people with disabilities. Their mission is to embrace people through music, just as a cradle offers warmth, comfort and protection. Deeply connected to their roots and cultural heritage, they chose to incorporate the Friulian language into the name of their project. In Friulian, scune means “cradle”. And because the greatest projects are never created alone, they chose to call themselves an Ensemble: a group that grows and creates together within the circle of music.
