Kusamono – literally “things of grass” – are plants or compositions of plants defined as “companion herbs”, usually used as an accompaniment to bonsai. Like bonsai, they are kept in well-defined exhibition spaces: inside Japanese houses they find a home in the so-called tokonoma, an alcove facing in a propitious direction which the Japanese consider the most special place in the house.
At this workshop, each participant will have the opportunity to create their own personal kusamono with seasonal plants and moss.
INFO: Max 10 participants. Euro 25.
IN CASE OF BAD WEATHER: The event will be held at Fondazione Friuli.
