A project by Italian-French singer Sara Longo and double bassist Alvise Seggi, ‘Mystery Tour’ is dedicated to the music of The Beatles, revisited with a personal and delicate stylistic touch. The essentiality that
characterises the duo allows the two musicians to move with well-established interplay, between hypnotic cello drones and skilful use of effects, at times flowing into musical territories reminiscent of early Mississippi blues. Not only the Beatles, however, but also original songs and forays into contemporary music with tributes to Carla Bley, Mercedes Sosa and Count Basie.
