Politeama audiences have always loved Momix, applauding their many shows since 1989, including an unforgettable "The Best of" with which they celebrated their 30th anniversary in 2010. Their founder, American choreographer Moses Pendleton, imbued the company with his visionary spirit, the poetics of play, and his faith in the immense potential of the human body, which for these dancers is their greatest strength, the center and engine of astonishing transformations. True transformations also play a role in the skilful lighting and ingenious costumes that have always characterized this company's productions, further enhancing and expressing the language of the body. The themes of ecology, care for the planet we live on, and the fragility and beauty of its creatures are often central to Pendleton's poetics, which draws its greatest inspiration from Nature. And the theme also returns in the new show, “Bothanica Season 2” which evolves in the wake of one of Momix’s most celebrated masterpieces, “Bothanica”.
