A resident company at the Beijing Dance Academy—China's premier dance institution—the Beijing Dance Academy, performing at the Beijing Repertory Theatre, is a distinguished guest. It will allow audiences to experience China's extraordinary and little-known art of dance at the highest level, through performances that preserve and innovate classical Chinese dance with a remarkable degree of technical and interpretative perfection.

The performance in Trieste will feature dances from ancient traditions, inspired by figures from Chinese history and literature, as well as dances from China's many ethnic groups, military dances, and dances inspired by martial arts, as well as performances based on Chinese philosophy.
